More Than $100K Raised for South Florida Kids Who Lost Both Parents Days Apart

More than $100,000 has been raised for three young South Florida children who were orphaned after a series of tragic events claimed the life of their father and then their mother just days apart.

A GoFundMe account set up by a family member has raised more than $105,000 in just four days for the children of Jevaughn Suckoo and Stephanie Caceres.

Suckoo, 26, was fatally shot on July 11 at his Florida home in a gated community in West Palm Beach. Three days later, Suckoo’s pregnant girlfriend, Stephanie Caceres, gave birth to the couple’s twin boy and girl.

According to Caceres’ family, she developed an infection from the C-section and was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit. She died 10 days later, the same day Suckoo's family laid him to rest.

The couple also left behind their 1-year-old daughter, Kailanie. The family says that the children’s grandparents are taking custody and raise all three of their grandchildren.

Money from the GoFundMe will provide health, education, maintenance and support to the children.
