Mother, Child Identified as 2 Found Dead in Turnpike Hazmat Incident

Authorities have identified an Orlando woman and her daughter who were both found dead on the Turnpike in central Florida during a hazmat incident.

Osceola County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain tells media outlets that the bodies of 46-yearold Latifa Lincoln and 3-year-old Maksmilla Lincoln were discovered Thursday afternoon in a SUV near mile marker 224.

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper found the bodies after spotting the vehicle, which had minor damage from hitting a guard rail.

Lizasuain says investigators don't believe the deaths of the mother and daughter were caused by the crash.

The trooper and two deputies were treated at a hospital after being exposed to an unknown substance inside the SUV.

The medical examiner's office is continuing to investigate the cause of their deaths.
