Motorist Finds Harley Driver Dead in Pompano Beach

A woman was looking for jobs when she came across the bike and its rider

A job search can be stressful enough -- without discovering a dead man while doing it.

But that's just what happened Sunday afternoon when, according to the Broward Sherrif's Office, a motorist looking for potential job locations discovered a deceased motorcyclist in a Pompano Beach industrial complex.

Around 4 p.m., the woman noticed a Harley-Davidson in the grass on the side of the road, and the rider partially still on the motorcycle.

Fire Rescue responded and pronounced Patrick Michael Cole, 54, of Pompano Beach, dead on the scene. Cole was not wearing a helmet, but investigators are still trying to determine cause and time of death.
