Multiple Cars Vandalized at Fort Lauderdale Tri-Rail Station

Police are investigating after more than a dozen vehicles were discovered vandalized at a Tri-Rail station in Fort Lauderdale Friday morning.

Some 17 cars and SUVs had their windows smashed out overnight at the station at 200 Southwest 21st Terrace, police said.

David Graves was just one of the many victims who stepped off the train to find they need a new window.

"I don’t even know what’s going through my head, just trying to figure out how much my window is going to cost," Graves said.

Elena Fuller's Ford was also smashed up. The criminals threw her clothes out the window and it looks as if they searched through everything.

“My CDs, my bible, I’ll take this with me, but my bible was in there," she said.

For at least one of the victims, the break-ins were enough to make her say she will never ride Tri-Rail again.

"Not anymore, I'm not gonna take the train no more," Nose Noelle said. "I'm gonna drive my car to Palm Beach and come back."

Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
