NFL running back Chris Johnson is in stable condition at Orlando hospital after being wounded in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning, according to NBC affiliate WESH.
Johnson, 29, is a former player of the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. Police say he was one of three people injured around 4 a.m. on Sunday.
According to investigators, a vehicle pulled up to Orlando traffic light and started shooting at a Jeep Cherokee where Johnson and two other victims were sitting, WESH reported.
The driver of the Jeep, Dreekius Johnson, 28, was killed. Reggie Johnson, 28, who was also inside the Jeep, is also in stable condition suffering gunshot wounds.
