A Miami-Dade man already behind bars on child molestation charges is now accused of sexual battery on an 8-year-old girl, police said Wednesday
Roberto Gonzalez, 68, was arrested in May on several charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child. He was arrested again Tuesday on the sexual battery charge, according to a Miami-Dade Police arrest report.
Gonzalez appeared in court Wednesday where he was ordered held without bond. He was expected to be back in court Thursday with his attorney.
According to the arrest report, the young girl told investigators in June that Gonzalez had sexually assaulted her.
