Miami-Dade prosecutors will not charge radio personality DJ Laz in connection with a deadly boating accident.
Last May, DJ Laz, whose real name is Lazaro Mendez, was behind the wheel of a boat that got stuck in a sandbar off Nixon Beach in Key Biscayne.
Ernesto Hernandez, 23, died when he was sliced by the propellers while trying to help push the boat off of the sandbar.
Prosecutors concluded there was no evidence that Mendez was under the influence, or acted with disregard for human life.
