No Injuries Reported After Fire Breaks Out Inside Weston Apartment Complex

Residents in one Weston apartment complex were able to escape from an overnight fire Friday.

Fire crews responded to the scene on Blatt Boulevard just west of Bonaventure Boulevard just after 2 a.m. in which heavy fire could be seen coming out of the roof.

Residents of two apartments were displaced, however no injuries were reported. BSO Fire Rescue’s Mike Jachles told NBC 6 that the fire broke out in the top story of the building and shot through the roof, while the downstairs unit suffered water damage as a result.

While no people were injured, some residents say they are still looking for pets that were inside at the time the fire started.
