A man was shot in the stomach during a robbery Tuesday in North Miami Beach, police say.
Police are determining where exactly the shooting took place, but the victim was found in the area of NE 4th Avenue and 167th Street. The man was taken to the hospital, though his condition is unknown, according to North Miami Beach police.
A witness told NBC 6 he saw a man walk into a tattoo shop, bleeding and telling the owner he was robbed.
A tattoo artist said he heard banging at the shop's door, which was locked. He told the victim to lay down and he held the wound with paper towels and waited for police to arrive.
Police were searching the area for a suspect. A description of the shooter was not immediately available.
