North Miami Giving Free Thanksgiving Meals to Residents

Officials in North Miami will be making the Thanksgiving holiday better for hundreds of residents with a free meal giveaway Monday.

About 600 meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis to North Miami residents at Griffing Park at Northeast 123ed Street and West Dixie Highway beginning at 4 p.m.

The meals will include a turkey, canned goods and other items. Residents must show a Florida photo ID for proof of address.

Vice Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime and Councilwoman Carol Keys are hosting the event, which is sponsored by C.A.P. Government, Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus Marian Council, Madame Gougousse, Oleta Partners, Phypogenix Pharmacy, Sapoznik Insurance, and WastePro.
