Note Leads Police to Armed Robbery Suspect: MDPD

A South Florida man accused of robbing a Burger King in southwest Miami-Dade was ordered to be held without bond Thursday.

According to the arrest report, 27-year-old Jonathan Barrameda walked into the Burger King on Southwest 268th Street and South Dixie Highway and gave an employee a note demanding cash.

The note stated: "Empty the register quickly and quietly or I will start shooting hostages starting with you."

Miami-Dade Police said Barrameda then walked out of the restaurant with cash in hand, but forgot to grab the note which had his fingerprints on it, and that's how they tracked him down.

Barrameda faces charges including armed robbery. It's unknown whether he has an attorney.
