Cell phone video caught a wild confrontation between Miami police officers and clubgoers on Saturday night in Brickell.
Witnesses said the incident began when a bouncer at Baru Brickell tried to throw a man out of the nightclub. The two began arguing and eventually started fighting. That's when police got involved.
The video shows the man being taken down by police when a woman gets involved and begins striking the officers.
In a statement Monday, Miami Police officials said everyone involved in the incident were family members who had been in a dispute with the club' security.
"All of the family members stormed out of the establishment, at which point officers intervened & attempted to verify what the issue was," the police statement read.
The family members, who were visiting from another state, apologized to officers and no arrests were made, police said.
"We promote having a beautiful night out, with the best Latin music in town, when guests get out of control where they can harm others we must take matters into our hands and escort them out of our establishment, which happened in this case," Baru owner Hector Antunez said in a statement. "The fight took place in the patio of Mary Brickell after they left our establishment, proving that asking them to leave was a good decision in our bouncers. Our priority is to ensure the safety of our guests and staff at all times."
