Fire rescue units responded Thursday to reports of an unknown hazardous odor on the Rickenbacker Causeway, resulting in the evacuation of several bystanders.
The incident took place around noon, according to a City of Miami Fire Rescue officer.
A hazmat team was on the scene investigating the unknown odor, and bystanders were offered shelter as the investigation unfolded.
