A burglary suspect was taken into custody Wednesday after leading officers on a chase with a stolen vehicle in Broward County.
Stephen Nitsch, 33, was identified as the suspect drove the vehicle north on Interstate 95 until stopping in Pompano Beach, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
He got out of the car and ran away before officers took him down near Snappers Fish and Chicken on Northwest 3rd Street.
Nitsch faces charges of burglarizing an occupied dwelling, auto theft and eluding law enforcement.
He may face additional charges pending an investigation.
