Police are investigating after a person was shot in Miami early Monday.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. in the area of Northwest 185th Street and 46th Avenue. The unidentified victim was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital where their condition was unknown.
Neighbors said they heard several gunshots in the area and police had several evidence markers on the ground near bullet shell casings. Card doors had bullet holes and windows were smashed out as a result of the shooting.
The victim was a young man, neighbors said.
"I feel bad cause we live over here and anyone can get hurt, you never know when they shoot, they can kill anybody," neighbor Jesus Alvaredo said.
Police said they don't know why the shooting happened. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
