A person was recovered from the water off Fisher Island, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews confirm.
Crews were called to the scene Tuesday just before 6:30 a.m. after a car went into the water.
Aerial views shows what appears to be an oil slick in the water.
MDFR crews pulled the occupant of the vehicle out of the water. That person's condition is not immediately known. The person was taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries are not immediately known, but MDFR says they were not trauma injuries.
