Over 100 animals were rescued from what Miami-Dade animal service officials called “deplorable conditions” at a property near Redland.
Miami-Dade Animal Services released a statement saying that 99 dogs and five cats were taken from the property located near Southwest 248th Street and 194th Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
Officials say a resident called the office of county commissioner Danielle Levine Cava’s office, which allowed them to arrive at the property with Miami-Dade Police – adding the animals ranged in sizes and breeds and will be examined by shelter vets before being put up for adoption at a later date.
