Police are searching for a pair of suspects behind an armed robbery at a Plantation store over the weekend.
The robbery happened Saturday afternoon at the Footprints retail store at 240 South University Drive, Plantation Police said.
According to police, the suspects asked about merchandise in jewelry cases before one of them pulled out a rifle and ordered the customers to the rear of the store.
The robbers smashed the jewelry cases and grabbed some merchandise before fleeing the store, police said. No one was injured and no property was taken from any customers.
Shortly before the robbery, one of the suspects rang the door of Wilner's Jewelers in the same shopping complex but was denied entry, police said.
