Pair Wanted in Violent Robbery of Miami Beach Tourist: Police

Police are searching for a man and woman who they say are responsible for a violent robbery of a tourist in Miami Beach earlier this week.

The robbery happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday when the victim, a tourist visiting from Poland, was on her way back to an apartment building in the area of 11th Street and Euclid Avenue, Miami Beach Police said.

Police said the man followed the tourist while the woman served as a lookout. The man approached the victim from behind and knocked her to the ground, then hit her several times before fleeing with her cell phone, ID and $20, police said.

The victim, Patrycja Kaczorowska, said she was walking back from a party when she was attacked.

"It was very fast, I didn't even have time to react properly," she said.

Officials released surveillance footage showing the pair walking near a police station before the robbery. Cameras also captured the man following the victim into the apartment building and running from the scene moments later.

"A dangerous duo that we need someone to identify to take off the street," Miami Beach Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said. "Two dangerous people who are working together, probably out there preying on other victims."

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
