Authorities are looking for a pair of armed robbers who ripped off a group of domino players who were robbed twice within two months at a North Lauderdale business.
The first robbery happened on Jan. 12 at DN Consultants at 6041 Kimberly Boulevard, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. The second robbery took place on Feb. 28.
In the second robbery, one of the suspects tapped on the door of the business with a gun and was buzzed in by the game organizer, who didn't realize he was a crook, the BSO said. At one point, the first suspect lets an accomplice into the business.
When the domino players realize they're being robbed, they packed into a small back room to get away from the suspects. Surveillance footage showed the suspects searching for the victims room to room.
Before they could be found by the suspects, the victims were able to unlock a bay door and escape. The robbers took a cell phone and left through the front door, the BSO said.
The BSO identified the suspects as black males in their late teens to mid 20s. One suspect was about 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds with a short afro. His accomplice was 5-foot-7, 150 pounds with a thin build. Both wore hooded sweatshirts and pants and were possibly traveling in a black vehicle, the BSO said.
Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and are asking anyone with info to call Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
