Panthers' Road Woes Continue in Buffalo

The Panthers remained winless on the road this season with their 3-0 loss on Saturday

The Florida Panthers took another loss on the road when they fell to the Buffalo Sabres 3-0 on Saturday.

Florida has now gone 0-3-1 in four road contests this season and it has an overall record of 3-4-1. Part of the reason for the success of the 2015-16 Panthers was their good play away from BB&T Center. That success has been elusive so far in this campaign however.

The Panthers had their chances to score in this one, but Buffalo's goalie stopped every try. Anders Nilsson was solid in the net with 33 saves on all 33 of Florida's attempts. Florida also went 0-4 on its power play opportunities during the loss.

While the Panthers struggled to take advantage of power plays, the Sabres took care of business. Buffalo was 2-4 on their man advantages including a late goal that put the game out of reach.

Roberto Luongo was 22-25 on his save tries and fell for the third time already this season. The veteran looked solid in the preseason, but has not been at his best thus far in the regular season. Luongo's backup James Reimer has struggled as of late as well.

The Panthers will travel to Detroit on Sunday for the second half of a back-to-back.
