Panthers to Host Marlins Night on February 9th

The Panthers will have several Marlins players in attendance for their game on February 9th

The Florida Panthers will host Marlins Night when they take on the Los Angeles Kings on February 9th.

The evening will give fans a chance to spend some time with several Miami Marlins players. Tom Koehler, Dee Gordon, J.T. Realmuto and Derek Dietrich are all scheduled to be in attendance for the game. In addition to a photo opportunity, fans may also bid on a memorable item.

When the Panthers season got underway, they held a tribute for the late Jose Fernandez. Florida's players wore jerseys with Fernandez's name and number prior to the team's home opener. Five of those jerseys will now be up for auction during the game on the 9th.

Visiting BB&T Center before the start of spring training has become an annual tradition for the Marlins. The Panthers also normally make a stop at a Marlins game during the season. During 2016, Derek MacKenzie threw out the first pitch before a Marlins game. These events between the teams allow fans to interact with some of the other local sports personalities.

Marlins pitchers and catchers will be heading to Jupiter on February 13th, following an assortment of stops in South Florida. In addition to Fan Fest, fans will likely have more chances to meet and greet Marlins players before business gets underway. The team has yet to release a full schedule of events. Individual Marlins tickets for the 2017 season will go on sale at Fan Fest on February 11th.

The Panthers have made tickets available to the game, and fans may use the code "Marlins17" to receive possible discounts on the purchase.
