A man was killed after he was struck by a car while trying to cross a street in Pembroke Pines Wednesday morning, police said.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 11300 block of Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines Police said.
The man, identified as 22-year-old Aaron Jerrido, was crossing the street mid-block and not in a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a car, police said. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he later died.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The crash remains under investigation.
