A busy South Florida street was partially shutdown Wednesday evening, after a pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Southwest 8th Street near Southwest 74th Avenue in Miami.
Miami Police said a 63-year-old male was killed. His name has not been released.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and told police the victim "came out of nowhere."
The Florida Highway Patrol responded, along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
There's no word on whether the driver will face charges.
