Fort Myers police say a pellet gun was brought on board a school bus in Lee County.
The News-Press of Fort Myers reports that none of the eight students on the bus were harmed following Wednesday's incident.
Police say they pulled the bus over after receiving reports that a gun was found on the bus. After investigating, officials determined that the weapon was a pellet gun, which was brought on board by one of the students.
Spokeswoman for Lee schools Lauren Stillwell says parents were eventually called to pick up some of the students.
The incident shut down a street for a period of time.
