A Pembroke Pines police officer on a motorcycle was injured after a crash with another vehicle Saturday morning.
The crash occurred at about 7 a.m. in the area of 14800 Sheridan Street. The male officer was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
"I saw a motorcycle down. You could see the guys trying to pull the guy out from under the car," said Julie Sanchez, who witnessed the crash.
Roadways in the area were temporarily shut down. Police have not confirmed the officer's condition, but one officer told NBC 6 he is expected to survive.
