Person of Interest Sought After Woman Run Over In Sawgrass Mills Parking Lot

Sunrise Police are looking for a woman they say ran over a Sawgrass Mills employee in the parking lot Wednesday afternoon.

Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 2:30 p.m. after numerous witnesses called to say they saw the victim hit by a car near the Target store. The victim, who police say is a 20-year-old that works at Carter’s, was rushed to Broward General Hospital with head injuries.

Investigators say the victim may have been trying to keep the driver from leaving the parking lot and released surveillance video showing who they think may be the driver of that vehicle.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Sunrise Police Department.
