Officers responded to the scene outside the Family Dollar store located off Miami Gardens Drive and Northwest 17th Avenue just before 7 p.m. after reports of shots being fired outside.
Officers found 25-year-old Eric L. Scott suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died.
