At Least 4 in Police Custody After Chase Ends in Northwest Miami-Dade

Jorin Williams wasn't gone 20 seconds when his 2004 blue Honda Element was stolen in North Miami Tuesday night.

But by Wednesday afternoon, Williams tracked down the location of the stolen vehicle and called the cops. A police chase ensued, leaving at least four suspects in custody.

Williams used a GPS tracker on the Honda to locate the Honda, which he found on 52nd Street and 2nd Avenue. He and a friend drove to the location and waited for the police to arrive.

As they were waiting, four people walked up to the Honda and fled with the vehicle. Williams and his friend tailed the car for about 35 minutes when Miami-Dade police officers caught up.

The chase came to a crashing end when the vehicle hit a fence in Northwest Miami-Dade. Aerial footage showed the suspects bailing out of the car near Northwest 95th Street and 26th Avenue in Northwest Miami-Dade. Three people were seen being handcuffed at the scene as police set up a perimeter to search for others.
