Police investigating after body found on Hollywood Beach

Police are investigating in the area of South Ocean Drive and Magnolia Terrace

Police are investigating after a body was found on the shore of Hollywood Beach on Thursday morning.

The discovery was made around 6 a.m. in the area of South Ocean Drive and Magnolia Terrace by a resident who was jogging on the beach, Hollywood Police officials said.

Police said officers and fire rescue crews responded and pronounced the person dead at the scene. The person's identity hasn't been released.

Aerial footage showed the person's body at the shoreline as multiple officers closed off the area.

A woman could be seen visibly distraught after she said her husband an has been missing. She was seen talking to police and crying.

Police said no foul play was suspected but detectives were still investigating.

Police said they're asking for help from the community in the incident are are asking anyone with information to call them at 954-764-4357.
