Police Investigate Two Robberies in NW Miami-Dade

Police in Miami-Dade were investigating two separate robbery scenes early Monday morning.

The robberies occurred within minutes of each other just before 10:30 a.m., one at a wireless store located in the 11900 block of Northwest Seventh Avenue in North Miami, and the second at a location in the 900 block of Northwest 116th Terrace.

It is not immediately known if the scenes are related.

A clerk at the CB wireless store was pistol-whipped during that robbery. He was seen with bandages around his head.

"It makes you feel so insecure, I'm like, nervous because you know you are here, you are working hard and these people come in and rob you like nothing it's like, no," witness Shirley Gonzalez said.

A man working at the barbershop next door walked in and interrupted the crime.

About 15 blocks away police said two armed men carjacked a victim in his own driveway. Detectives are searching for the stolen vehicle.

Miami-Dade and North Miami police departments are investigating.

This is a developing story and will be updated as new information becomes available.
