Police are investigating an armed home invasion in Pembroke Pines early Wednesday.
The incident happened just before 4:30 a.m. at a home in the Flamingo Villas neighborhood near Flamingo Road and Johnson Street.
Police said two male suspects entered a home through an unlocked front door. One of them was holding a hand gun.
There were two people home at the time, a man and a woman. The woman was awake but the man was sleeping, however there may have been some type of altercation because that man was hit by one of the suspects multiple times, receiving minor injuries, police said.
Despite help from Hallandale Beach Police and the Broward Sheriff's Office the suspects got away. The incident remains under investigation.
