What to Know

The owners of a Miramar barber shop are cleaning up Tuesday morning after a driver plowed into their store – but didn’t take anything from inside.

Police arrived at SND Signature Cuts and Salon on Miramar Parkway just east of Palm Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. after an officer on patrol noticed a smash storefront.

"They normally patrol the parking lot and he saw the window broken into so they called us up to find out what happened," said one of the shop's owners, Daniel Anderson.

The business suffered heavy damage as a result of the crash – but Anderson told NBC 6 that nothing was taken from inside. He said the shop would be open on Tuesday as scheduled.

"Everybody is here from day one and they are still here," Anderson said. "It’s not like anybody have problem with us or anything like that."

Miramar Police are continuing to investigate whether this was purely an accident where a vehicle went out of control or if it was an attempted robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Broward CrimeStoppers.
