Police On Hunt for Serial Peeping Tom in Pembroke Pines

Police are looking for a serial peeping tom who looks inside homes while masturbating in Pembroke Pines.

The suspect has committed several offenses in recent months in the Windmill Lakes, Heron Pond, Gatehouse, and Sunswept neighborhoods in the eastern part of Pembroke Pines, police said Tuesday.

"We believe his behavior is becoming increasingly brazen and we're concerned what actions he may take next," police said.

According to police, the suspect approaches the rear bedroom windows of the victims' homes and masturbates while looking inside. On two occasions he tried to open a window and during one of those incidents he struggled with a victim who was trying to close the window.

The suspect has tampered with exterior lights at some homes and has broken windows using a slingshot, police said.

"He was masturbating outside my window. I saw him very clearly," one victim said. "There is fear piercing through my blood and it has also caused me to become extremely angry."

Police described the suspect as a white or Hispanic male, about 5-foot-9, medium to heavy build, with salt and pepper trimmed facial hair. He has sometimes covered his face with a dark fabric and has worn dark framed glasses during several incidents, police said.

Police believe the man lives somewhere in the area, and they're hoping someone recognizes him before he strikes again. They said, in most cases, he's targeting women in their 20s and 30s with carmel-colored skin and long dark hair.

The suspect is a threat to the community and it's possible there may be more victims, officials said. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
