Police Searching for Two Hollywood Robbers

Hollywood Police are looking for a pair of repeat robbers who have hit five stores in the last month with some of the victims of the duo being as young as seven-years-old.

The latest heist happened at a Family Dollar store on Taft Street in Hollywood. The two suspects, both of whom were armed, hit the store just before closing time around 9:45 p.m. Both men were wearing hoodies and covering their faces. One suspect is estimated to be 5’4” and the other is around 6 feet.

In another robbery at a 7/11 in Hollywood, the duo entered the business, jumped the counter, and headed for the back of the store. During each robbery, they tied up the victims with duct tape or stereo wire and made off with cash and/or goods.

Police said the two thieves have also hit a Pizza Hut on Hollywood Boulevard near State Road 7 and Sensation’s Adult Video store also near State Road 7. Some residents say the area that’s been targeted has been going downhill.

“So I know this area is kind of rough at night,” said Janet Ernest. “I’m not surprised at all.”

A local sandwich shop, whose owner didn’t want to speak on camera, told NBC 6 they have seen “shady characters” in the area, but that they are prepared for any potential robber. The shop’s owner said they have security cameras, along with guns to defend the shop.
