The incident happened shortly after midnight on March 18 at the Habitat for Humanity at 505 East Broward Boulevard

Authorities are trying to identify a man who was seen outside the Habitat for Humanity in Fort Lauderdale moments before a dumpster was set on fire.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on March 18 at the Habitat for Humanity at 505 East Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale Police officials said.

Police said surveillance footage from March 17 showed the man in the area of the dumpster moments before the camera was disconnected. Other footage showed what appears to be the same man approaching the dumpster at the time of the fire, police said.
