Hit-and-Run Driver Sought After Pompano Beach Man Dies From Injuries

Homicide detectives are seeking the public's help to find the hit-and-run driver who struck a Pompano Beach man who later died from his injuries.

Frank Ali, 58, was struck by a dark-colored vehicle on June 20 in the area of NW Fifth Avenue and NW Sixth Street, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Ali was seriously injured but was able to call 911.

He died from his injuries on Friday, seven weeks after the crash.

Detectives are handing out flyers out to residents Tuesday near Akel Market in Pompano Beach in the hopes of finding possible witnesses to the crash.
