The Florida Department of Health is now investigating a possible non-travel related case of Zika virus in Broward County, officials said Thursday.
The investigation into the possible non-travel related case in Miami-Dade remains ongoing.
Zika prevention kits and repellent will be available at the Department of Health in Broward and will be distributed in the area of investigation. Officials didn't say what part of Broward is part of the investigation.
The department is coordinating with local OBGYNs for distribution of the kits, which are intended for pregnant women. The department is also working with mosquito control on trapping, reduction and prevention activities.
