Drunk, Pregnant Florida Mom Crashes Car With Kids Inside: Police

A pregnant Ocala mom has been charged with DUI after crashing a car with her 18-month-old twins inside, police in Ocala tell WESH.

Angel Nicole Oliver, 28, crashed her SUV into the back of another vehicle at 11 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

According to police, Oliver had been involved in an argument with passengers in that car before the crash.

Ocala police officers said they found five beer bottles and cans in Oliver's SUV, two of which were reportedly empty.

One of her toddler twins was in a car seat, and the other was found on the floor after the car seat flipped. Neither child was properly secured in the car seat, nor were the car seats themselves secured properly in the vehicle, police said.

A sobriety test revealed that Oliver's blood alcohol content was almost three times the legal limit at the time of the crash, according to the report.

She was taken to the Marion County Jail on a DUI charge.

The father of the children accompanied them to the hospital, and the Department of Children and Families was called.

WESH reports that neither the father nor Oliver spoke to reporters.

It is unknown whether Oliver has hired an attorney.
