Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed on a Miami street late Monday night.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of Northwest 53rd Street, Miami Police said.
"We heard three shots go off, so I was like 'dang, who's out here shooting like that,' and as I was walking to the door...I heard 10 more shots go off," witness Tedarius Washington told NBC 6 South Florida. "When I opened the door I seen the girl, she was by this white gate back here and she was holding on and her body just hit the floor like lifeless."

The woman, who neighbors say was in her 30s and has a teenage son, collapsed on the sidewalk. She was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she later died.
Washington and another man, who both claimed they tried to help her, said the woman was pregnant.
Witnesses said they saw a dark colored car speed away from the scene. Police haven't given a description of the suspect or suspects.
Police said they don't know if the woman was the intended target. Neighbors believe she may have been an innocent bystander.

Residents said they heard several shots, and more than a dozen bullet casings were marked at the scene by police.
"I was reading the Bible, getting ready to read the Bible and all of a sudden, bang, bang, bang, bang, I thought they shot me through the window, I thought they shot me through the window, I thought I was dead," neighbor Vivian Frazier said.
Resident Sandra Walker said shootings are something that has become a part of life in the neighborhood.
“When you hear it, you duck and you get on the floor and that's it," she said.
But that needs to change, Walker said.
