Expect Traffic Delays, Road Closures During President Trump's Sunrise Visit

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend President Donald Trump's rally Tuesday at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, and people who live nearby or plan to drive in the area should expect traffic delays and possible road closures.

From 7 a.m to 10 p.m., Northwest 136th Avenue will be closed in front of the BB&T Center in both directions between Pat Selerno Drive/Azure Alley and Gate 7 of the BB&T. This closure will detour several bus routes. Click here for more info.

The Sunrise Park & Ride for the 595/95 Express Buses will be relocated at the Orange Garage at Sawgrass Mills Mall. Passengers should park on the third and fourth floors of the Orange Garage and then board the buses on the southwest side of the mall near the Neiman Marcus entrance. Schedules will remain the same.

Broward County school bus routes may be affected but pick up/drop off times will remain the same.

Semi-trucks, box trucks and panel vans are not permitted to travel in the area of State Road 869 from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The event begins at 7 p.m., and building doors will open at 3 p.m.
