Medicare Rally Planned For Monday in Fort Lauderdale Against Potential Repeal of Obamacare

As the health care battle continues in Washington D.C., Medicare supporters in Broward County are expected to take the streets as they join millions in a nationwide rally Monday.

The rally plans to raise awareness and support for the program as South Florida leaders battle over whether to support a plan that would repeal ObamaCare.

The White House has health care on their agenda Monday as President Trump and Vice President Pence are expected to discuss repealing ultimately replacing the health care system.

The U.S. Senate is expected to vote tomorrow on the health care legislation – after they already postponed votes twice because several republicans were set to vote no, thus killing any chance of passing.

The march will get started in downtown Fort Lauderdale at 5 p.m. and is expected to last several hours. It is one of six scheduled rallies across the state, including one scheduled for West Palm Beach.
