Raincoat Robber Tells Bank Teller to Make It Rain

Suspect claimed he had a bomb

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies are on the look out for a bank robber who is well suited for April showers.

The suspect, clad in a raincoat, robbed a Wachovia Bank in Pompano Beach on Monday by bomb-point, getting away with a bag full of cash and leaving a bank teller shaken.

Surveillance video captured the man calmly walking into the bank and placing a black bag on the counter as he started his robbery. There was a deluge Monday so the raincoat wasn't a suspicious outfit choice, but the suspect made clear his intentions when he told the teller if she didn't follow his instructions, she would be blown to bits.

He is described as a 6-foot-tall, clean-shaven white male in his 20s or 30s. He was wearing a dark green raincoat with a hood that covered a baseball cap. he also wore dark sunglasses.

It's unclear how much money the man escaped with.
