Rented a Car in Florida? You May Be Eligible for a Refund

Anyone who has rented a car through Dollar or Thrifty in Florida may be eligible for a refund, according to the state attorney general's office.

Those eligible must have rented between Jan. 1, 2011 through Jan. 7, 2019 and were charged for PlatePass or toll fees charged by Dollar or Thrifty, not the toll fees paid to the toll authority, according to attorney general Ashley Moody's office.

Consumers may be eligible to receive a refund for the first rental transaction when they were charged for PlatePass or a toll fee that was not disclosed.
