As police continue the search for whoever left a pit bull inside a suitcase in Hollywood last week, a reward for answers has been increased days after the dog’s death.
Broward CrimeStoppers announced that a reward of $16,500 – including $13,500 from an unnamed source – is available for clues in the incident involving “Ollie”.
The case drew attention after a couple found the dog in the early morning hours of October 10th, stabbed and beaten before being rushed to an area veterinarian. Ollie was recovering and reportedly doing better before passing away last Thursday night.
The animal rights group PETA is also doubling their original reward in the case, which now makes the total reward for information to nearly $40,000.
Anyone with information about a possible suspect in the case is asked to call Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
