Strong winds remain in the forecast for South Florida as we head into midweek. A high pressure to our north keeps the winds out of the east and quite gusty through the weekend.
The swift breeze is causing issues along the coast and has popped up a high risk of rip currents for Atlantic Beaches. While Wednesday may not be the best beach day with rain in the forecast, it is worth noting that swimming in local waters will be dangerous.
The high surf and elevated rip current risk will remain with us well into the weekend.
