Runners Lace Up for the 16th Annual Miami Marathon

Ready, get set, run!

The stage is almost set for the 2016 Miami Marathon and Half Marathon. The event is set to take place on Sunday, January 24th at 6 a.m. outside of the AmericanAirlines Arena. Event organizers expect at least 20,000 people from all around the world.

The 26.2 mile course will take runners all over Miami, including: Downtown Miami, South Beach and Coconut Grove. With this new course, this means new road closures, so drivers: be aware. For a full list of road closure details, click here.

NBC 6 Meteorologists predict that runners will have perfect weather for Sunday’s big race. Participants and spectators can expect lows in the low 50’s and highs in the mid 60’s.
