Salvador Dali's Art on Exhibit at Two South Florida Galleries

The exhibit takes place Saturday

The artwork of the great 20th-century artist Salvador Dali has been exhibited in world-class museums all over the world, and for this weekend it will be on display in South Florida.

The exhibition will be held at Wentworth Galleries in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale.

Christine Argillet, daughter of Dali's legendary publisher and confidante Pierre Argillet, will make appearances at each location on Saturday.

The first between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Wentworth Gallery on Las Olas and later between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the at the Town Center Mall location.

“Everything you see here is pre-1974, and I would say it’s one of the finest collections of Dali’s that are available. The nice thing about these pieces is we know where they’ve been for the last 40 years. They went from Salvador Dali to Argillet collection to us,” said Director of Sales VP of Wentworth Gallery, Richard O’Mahony.

“Well this is my father’s collection. Dali and my father were very close friends for many decades," she said.

The exhibit includes tapestries, drawling, water colors, and etchings.

“Dali, in each technique, could be very creative and create something totally unusual. That’s really the mark of his imagination, she said.

“It’s a great privilege to work with Christine Argillet and where she comes from and here familiarity with Salvador. She grew up with him. She knew him as a young child, so she’s got great stories to tell about Salvador Dali. So, we’re really thrilled to have her here talking about the works showing the works making the works available. It’s really a privilege that we’re really really happy to be with," O’Mahony said.
