Samsung Promises to Fix ‘Red Tint' Problem on Some Phones

Samsung is promising to fix a "red tint" problem found by some users of its newest smartphone.

Some users of the Samsung Galaxy S-8 and Galaxy S-8 Plus smartphones have complained of displays with a reddish tint. The company says the tint is due to "natural variation" in displays and an update next week will give users control over their screen color.

Meanwhile, Samsung says pre-orders for its latest flagship smartphone were its best ever - 30 percent higher year-over-year compared to 2016's Galaxy S-7.
