A woman was killed and six children sustained minor injuries when a daycare van and a car crashed in Pompano Beach on Friday, authorities said.
Officials said 24-year-old Keturah Janel Kelly was driving at a high speed when she rear-ended the van at Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 9th Street.
Kelly was driving a Nissan, which appeared to be partially stuck under the van.
The six children and the van's driver, 52-year-old Veronica Blackman, were transported to area hospitals including Broward Health. Officials said there did not appear to be any life threatening injuries.
The children were 3 to 8 years old and were in a van from Kidsville Early Learning Center located at 1003 East Atlantic Blvd.
